Conveyance & Traffic Guidelines
- The school runs its own buses on selected routes. The charges vary according to distance.
- Children who want to use the School Bus facility should apply for it to the principal in the prescribed form at the beginning of the academic year.
- The school bus facility or its discontinuance is not admissible for any part of a term. In the event of any change in the conveyance schedule, it should be intimated to the office in writing at least 15 days earlier in the application form.
- Parents have to make necessary arrangements to hand over and to collect back their chil- dren at the scheduled bus stop.
- After getting off the bus, children should wait at the bus stop till the bus moves again. They should be very cautious and see that they cross the road only after the bus has left the stop so that accidents can be avoided.
- Commuting by school bus is an occasion for the pupils to cultivate good habits like pa- tience, forbearance, tolerance, sympathy, team spirit, co-operation and consideration for others.
- Gentlemanly and exemplary behaviour is expected from all the students in the bus at the boarding points where they wait for the bus.
- The smaller children should be seated before senior student occupies the sitting space.
- Students should remove their bag from their shoulders before boarding the bus and keep it on the rack.
- Singing or shouting, throwing articles out of the bus or making comments on the people outside are not allowed in the school bus.
- Putting hands, head or elbows outside is strictly forbidden.
- All must speak English in the school buses.
- In order to maintain order and discipline in the bus students are to co-operate with the bus staff.
- Strong and prompt disciplinary action will be taken against the students who do not be have themselves in the bus.
- Parents should see to it that private vehicles are regular and punctual in dropping off and picking up their children.
- To avoid unnecessary rush and traffic jam within the campus, children should be dropped at the school early.
- Drivers of vehicles are requested to drop and pick up the children at the parking area or at the drop and pick up points only. Avoid dropping and picking up the children on the road to avoid traffic jam and accidents.
- Vehicles are expected to enter and exit the campus through the main entrance
